Collection: Stacking The Deck
Stacking the deck is equal parts mystery, colour and vibrancy wrapped and warped around the brave choice of pink as it’s grounding.
Originally this piece was a flower which I had taught many people how to create through my experience teaching with PaintNite many years ago now. This piece was always bold and vibrant but had a new layer added when I decided to one day add a fairy to it to complement the floral patterns.
But in an attempt to break the lines and create something unique and new, I flipped the painting upside down and created a new layer with it by painting over it through use of paint and tape, and then peeling back the vertical lines to reveal something completely new.
Sometimes to give new life to something you need to change it, turn it around, flip it upside down, tape it up, re-paint it up and then break the canvas to get it where you know it can go.
